ok, I am totally into protecting people from internet predators, but does requiring sex offenders to register their email addresses really make a difference? I mean I have like 6 email addresses. How can that be monitored?
If you want a little (albiet biased...I dont mind...it agrees with me!) more info on this go to...

I does sound like a band-aid fix ... For people who don't understand how easy it is to get multiple or disposable email accounts, it sounds like a great idea.
I can understand (a little) why the school-taught course would be shot down (Truly, teachers have a crapload of stuff to teach and not even HALF the time needed to teach it) ... It would be good to create a website or something for parents to access to teach their families about internet safety.
(I do believe that it is DEFINITELY the parents' job to do this. And some families really are opposed to having others teach their kids ANYTHING to do with sex or the human reproductive system. Crazy, I know.)
McCain could have made a better choice. But, to people who don't understand the interwebs, it sounds great. :P
