I havent written in forever. I have been trying to figure out how I can portray my disgust for the new teen obsession Twilight. The problem with me complaining and critiqing this piece of crap saga is that I have not and will NEVER read it.
It is sexist, poorly written, and abusive. The red apple on the cover of the first book is a good representation of the relationships within. They are forbidden and for a reason. They are unhealthy.
Before I rant about things I have never even read, read this assessment of Twilight (Twilight sucks and not in a good way). I agree with it fully.
It doesn't even mention in the last book when Bella hides her bruises given to her by Edward as to not hurt his feelings.....
Oh dear

On the one hand, it's good because it's fostering READING among the unwashed masses.:P ...
But, you're right. As much as I want to support Meyer (since she's showing that, hey! Those Mormons CAN write! And write mainstream-stype stuff, too!!) ... it does leave quite a bit to be desired.
And, dude, I am still (and have ALWAYS been) Team Jacob ALL the way. He's totally better for Bella.
I think he got shafted in the end (and ... oh, during the WHOLE FRAKKIN' SERIES). But that is neither here nor there.
FUCK TWILIGHT!
